General Internist (Campbell River)

Overview

The beautiful oceanfront city of Campbell River has an opportunity for two General Internists to join the Department of Medicine at the Campbell River Hospital. Join a group of 8 supportive general internists providing true full-service community internal medicine at a 105-bed hospital. The MRP for a 6-bed ICU is available. Call responsibility is shared equally within the group.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant GIM care to a busy community hospital.
• Share in cardiodiagnostics including ECG and Holter reading, with access to stress testing.
• Participate in hospital-based multidisciplinary clinics, with an interest in liver disease encouraged.
• Outpatient GIM clinic is encouraged.
• Maintain a roughly 1:5 to 1:7 hospital-based call schedule.
• Potential to join an existing clinic in the community if desired.
