General Help and Cashier Role

Contribute to meal preparation and service as General Help and Cashier at a Correctional Center. This role includes food prep, cleaning tasks, and cash register operations.
As a General Help/Cashier, you will perform various duties such as washing, cutting fruits and vegetables, and cooking meals according to established schedules. The position requires adherence to food safety protocols, effective communication, and maintaining cleanliness in food storage areas and service carts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare fruits and vegetables as per schedule
• Cook, measure, and weigh ingredients accurately
• Store foods following safety and rotation procedures
• Portion meal trays for distribution
• Operate cash register and meal ticket processes
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent education
• Clean criminal record is a must
• Food Safe level 1 certificate
• Effective English communication skills
• Physical ability to complete all tasks
