Join the Engineering & Municipal Operations team as a full-time Trade Mechanic II. Focus on the maintenance and repair of City vehicles, ensuring safety and reliability in operations.
The role requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and safety-first mentality. You will manage maintenance tasks for a wide range of City vehicles including light trucks and fire department vehicles. Your expertise in Stick and MIG welding, coupled with your ability to work with diverse equipment, will drive performance and safety in the department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and repair various City vehicles and equipment
• Perform welding techniques including Stick and MIG
• Conduct inspections on vehicles exceeding 5500 kg GVW
• Operate and inspect specialized equipment and tools
• Collaborate effectively with departmental teams
