• Have knowledge in the operation of a tractor, rock picker, and mower
• Directly responsible to the Public Works Lead Hand
• Perform work such as mowing, rock picking, cleaning ditches, installing and replacing signs, cleaning the shop, maintaining equipment, maintaining the shop and yard, and other duties as assigned by the Lead Hand
• Service tractors and related equipment, make and assist in repairs
• Keep machines and equipment clean inside and out
• Make sure equipment is in safe operating condition; walk around inspections and operational checks are done daily, checking oil, fluid, tires, leaks, etc.
• Carry necessary tools for minor repairs
