About the Role
We're building Belief Market and are currently focused on finding strong product–market fit. This role is for an experienced engineer who can move fast without treating data as an afterthought.
You'll prototype features, evolve them into production systems, and take ownership of database design, complex SQL querying, and system reliability. SQL is a first-class skill in this role—not just ORM usage.
Our stack is TypeScript (strict), PostgreSQL, and AWS, with a strong emphasis on code quality, observability, and operational discipline.
What You'll Do
Build and ship proof-of-concept features, then harden them for production
Design and evolve relational schemas aligned with product needs
Write and optimize complex raw SQL (joins, CTEs, window functions, subqueries)
Debug slow queries using execution plans and indexing strategies
Own data correctness, performance, and reliability in production
