Freight Operator

The position of Freight Operator will be based out of LDC’s new Freight representative office in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and will have the opportunity to join one of the major global drybulk freight operators, shipping 55 million tons of cargoes per year, concentrating integrated activities of chartering, trading and market analysis. Specific duties and responsibilities include: 

• Communicate and liaise with vessel owners/masters/charterers/agents, trading team and other relevant stakeholders   
• Responsible for following up on post fixture activities  
• Basic understanding of Stowage Plan, intake optimization 
• Bunkering, ensure close collaboration with bunker desk to successfully manage bunker planning
