Job Description
The Project: We are looking for a senior-level freelancer to stabilize and optimize our Discourse community. We have a backlog of technical debt, migration errors, and tracking requirements. We work on a per-ticket basis with a focus on fast execution.
Tech Stack/Technical Requirements:
Backend: Expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails (Discourse core) and PostgreSQL.
Frontend: Proficiency in (for Discourse plugin/theme adjustments).
DevOps: Experience with Docker, Caddy, and a self-hosted n8n instance.
API & Integrations: Deep understanding of Webhook signatures and SSO (specifically fixing Google OAuth/SSO).
Core Work Packages:
1. Critical Fixes & Infrastructure
SSO/Authentication: Resolve Google SSO issue, as registration is currently not working
Database & Migration: Audit and fix the database resulting from a faulty migration.
HTML Rendering Issues: Resolve issues where links and other elements are displayed as raw HTML code instead of being rendered corre...
