Forklift Operator I

Overview The Forklift Operator is responsible for utilizing a forklift to move materials around a storage yard, factory, or similar location. The Forklift Operator is also responsible for loading and unloading trucks, performing routine forklift maintenance, assisting with inventory documentation, and supporting full adherence to safety compliance regulations.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections.
• Operate lifting devices (forklifts, lift beams, swivel hooks).
• Confirm inventory transactions are complete.
• Manually load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, and lifting devices.
• Put away received materials to proper storage locations.
• Determine the correct tools and equipment needed to do a job.
• Accurately ship and receive product.
• Assist in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials.
