Foreperson 1 - Grounds Maintenance

This position works in the Amenities and Structures organizational unit. This is supervisory work in the planning, assigning, supervising, reviewing and as required, participating in the work of one or more crews of subordinates engaged in a variety of Parks grounds maintenance, eco‑sculpture, habitat restoration, invasive species control and/or minor construction tasks, with a primary focus on playground inspection, maintenance and repair operations. The incumbent assists in the preparation of preliminary budget estimates and monitors actual expenditures and advises a supervisor of any anticipated problems; motivates, allocates, trains and disciplines members of crews, ensures safety of crews and public by advising and enforcing observance of accident prevention methods and precautions; plans, assigns, supervises, reviews, inspects and may participate in the work of one or more crews of subordinates engaged in a variety of parks grounds maintenance, eco‑sculpture, habitat restor...
