Forensic/Rehabilitation Psychiatrist

Overview

The Saskatchewan Health Authority – North Battleford is looking for Psychiatrists with a specific interest in forensic work as well as care and treatment of long‑term rehabilitation patients. The Saskatchewan Hospital is a 284‑bed psychiatric facility that includes a 96‑bed secure unit for offenders living with mental health issues. This is an innovative approach to delivering mental health care and supports to two separate groups of people with significant psychiatric rehabilitation needs. There is no out‑patient component to this position.

On‑call duties are shared with the psychiatrists of the Battlefords Mental Health Centre in a 1‑in‑6 rotation.
