You as a Patient Food Service Supervisor will :

  • Be responsible to supervise, train, schedule, evaluate and mentor front-line food service employees who are assigned to work on receiving, preparing, portioning, serving, delivery and collection and ware-washing.

  • Conduct audits, tours food services and patient care units and ensures departmental standards are met.

  • Supervise unionized personnel and/or students including: determining workload and delegating assignments, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective and disciplinary actions as per CUPE collective agreement.

  • Manage food supply, preparation of meals, beverages, and nourishments to ensure compliance with standardized menus.

  • Participate in departmental planning and project work.

  • Participate in controlling costs and quality improvement initiatives.
