Job Title: FOOD SERVICE WORKER

Department: Dietary

Responsible To: Director of Dietary Services

Purpose: To deliver quality food services to the residents of the Home. Assisting residents during meal service time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare breakfast, staff lunches and sandwiches daily.
  • Prepare, deliver and serve food in the proper portion size and temperature.
  • Report to maintenance and equipment needing repairs.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, dishes, servicing areas/workstations.
  • Participate in dietary staff meetings.
  • Assist in receiving, audits and putting away orders that come into the
  • kitchen.
  • Attend annual in-services with WHMIS, fire safety, re-certify food handlerscertification and first aid/CPR, as required.
