Food Service Worker (Casual)

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Food Service Worker to fill a Casual position at the Nats’oojeh Hospital and Health Centre.

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, and working within the scope of Northern Health (NH) Regional Policies and Processes, the NH Regional Food Safety Plan and the NH Regional Food Sanitation Plan, this position assists the Cooks, blending, grinding, slicing, preparing salads, vegetables, sandwiches, and portioning desserts, measuring and combining food and beverage ingredients.

• Set up and portion patient trays and/or resident meals with therapeutic diet items per nutrition care plans.
• Check patient trays to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare items such as tea, coffee and toast.
