Food Service Worker

Summary This position is located in the Food and Beverage Division, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, Naval Ordnance Test Unit, Cape Canaveral, Florida. The incumbent will be assigned duty in a food service facility but may occasionally be temporarily assigned to another food service facility. This is a flex temporary position without benefits (0-40 hours per week based on program needs) Responsibilities MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform duties as such short order grill cook and/or assist the cook in the preparation of breakfast, lunch or dinner meals. Perform a limited variety of tasks, such as grilling foods to order, i.e., hamburgers, pancakes, bacon, eggs, etc. Select food items to be services and ensure their freshness. Take direct customer orders or ticket orders from waitresses ensuring items are cooked to order, served using authorized portion controls and temperature and turning to avoid burning.
