Responsibilities

• Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Measure, cut, and secure underlayment and padding materials.
• Develop flooring layouts and prepare installation schedules.
• Measure, cut, and install carpet on various floor areas.
• Prepare tenders, estimates, and quotations for projects.
• Install hardwood flooring and related components.
• Assess and repair damaged floor coverings as needed.
• Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other site tests before installation.
• Prepare subfloors and surfaces for new flooring.
• Remove old flooring materials and contaminants.
• Install carpet on walls or specialized surfaces.
• Perform direct glue-down carpet installations.
