GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Floating Foundations Engineer will provide support for the development of technical solutions for floating offshore foundations for wind turbines, from design to commissioning and operation, in respect to time, costs, safety, quality and interfaces. Working directly with the head of floating foundations, the engineer will support the definition of technical solutions by management of contracts with external suppliers, performing sizing estimates, preparation of tenders and technology monitoring, among others.
A good understanding of floater modelling techniques from integrated load analysis (ILA) to structure assessment is expected. The engineer will provide support to projects on how to conduct ILA including mooring, by reviewing lessons learned, update employer requirements and perform spot-check analysis.
