The Basic Wings Course (BWC) is the RSAF’s foundational pilot training program. It develops core flying skills, airmanship, and aviation knowledge , preparing trainees for advanced training and operational conversion on RSAF aircraft. The program combines ground academics and practical flying , covering navigation, formation flying, instrument flying, and emergency procedures. Graduates of the BWC will embark on Advanced Wings Course for type specific training before being awarded the coveted RSAF wings.
