Job Description

Our client in the transport and logistics sector is seeking an experienced Fleet Breakdown Manager to oversee the maintenance, servicing and breakdown management of a fleet of 25 heavy vehicles and trailers.

This role is best suited to someone with strong heavy vehicle transport experience, excellent admin skills, and the ability to work effectively with drivers, mechanics and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily breakdowns, servicing and maintenance of trucks and trailers

  • Monitor diesel usage, tyre performance and vehicle servicing schedules

  • Maintain fleet registers, inspection reports and maintenance records

  • Conduct weekly and monthly vehicle and trailer inspections

  • Liaise daily with drivers, mechanics, schedulers and fleet management

  • Ensure fleet uptime, compliance and operational efficiency
