First Aid Technician

The First Aid Technician position requires a nursing student or first aid technician. They are responsible for all medical treatment of campers and staff. They also teach skills that encourage a healthy lifestyle as well as run health workshops and special programming to ensure campers are learning skills.

Responsibilities:

• All medically related problems: Assessing ALL injuries and treatment of minor injuries.
• Administering all medications to campers and keeping clear, up-to-date records on a daily basis.
• Completion of Accident Reports.
• Informing parents of children seen in the Health Centre or sent to the hospital.
• Keeping track of campers seen with lice and doing follow-ups.
• Ensuring the Health Centre confidentiality policy is respected at all times.
• Ensuring the safe storage of all medication (to be locked at all times).
