Become a crucial team member at QAI Laboratories as a Project Specialist focusing on fire testing in Burnaby, BC. This role emphasizes leadership in fire resistance testing and report preparation.
As a Project Specialist, you’ll independently execute fire resistance and building system tests, ensuring compliance. Your expertise in firestop and non-combustibility testing standards such as CAN/ULC S101 and UL 10B/10C is essential. You’ll also manage multiple testing projects while mentoring junior staff to maintain quality and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead fire resistance and firestop testing per standards
• Conduct testing and analyze data independently
• Troubleshoot technical issues during setups
• Support audits for QMS compliance
• Provide mentorship to junior staff members
Requirements:
• Technical diploma or degree in a related field
• Over 3 years of experience in construction or testing
• Ability to interpret technical drawings
