Fire Suppression Technician

Overview

The successful candidate will ensure the highest standard of service and client satisfaction is met.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems and fire hoses
• Install kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems
• Conduct recharge and pressure testing on portable fire extinguishers and cylinders
• Complete work orders and report in a timely fashion
• Emergency service calls/work may be required
• Understand and apply applicable NFPA codes and standards for the area
• Proficient in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and non-technical staff
• Instruct and train non-technical persons on the basic operation of key fire system components
