Job Description
About the role
Own the monthly close, statutory financial statements, and regulatory submissions for the general insurance business, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IRDAI and applicable accounting frameworks. Act as the anchor between Finance, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Investments, and Statutory/Internal Auditors, while driving process discipline, strong controls, and continuous automation.
Key Responsibilities:
1) Financial Close & Statutory Reporting
• Monthly/quarterly/year-end close (P&L, Balance Sheet), including ledger hygiene, accruals
• Prepare financial statements, notes, schedules, and management representation for Board/Audit Committee.
• Ensure alignment of accounting treatments
• Review trial balance to sub-ledger reconciliations.
2) Regulatory Reporting (IRDAI & Other)
• Prepare and file IRDAI regulatory returns (quarterly/annual), including analytical packs.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders for reporting.
