The Controller’s role is defined by oversight and process integrity .

• Internal Controls & Governance: Designing and enforcing the check and balance systems that prevent fraud and ensure data integrity across various departments (Pharmacy, HR, Surgery).
• Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Strategy: Monitoring the Contractual Allowance—the difference between what the hospital charges and what insurance companies actually pay—to ensure the hospital isn't losing money on under-coded procedures.
• Treasury & Cash Flow Management: Managing the hospital's liquidity to ensure payroll for thousands of employees is met and capital for expensive medical equipment is available.
• Financial System Integration: Leading the implementation or optimization of the Hospital Information System (HIS) to ensure clinical data flows accurately into financial reports.
