Job Description
My client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance, and team leadership. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, excellent leadership ability, and a passion for improving financial processes. This role is based in Bruma, Johannesburg East. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the finance team, providing guidance, support, and performance management.
- Review correction journals, general ledger allocations, and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Review and approve monthly VAT reconciliations and VAT returns before submission.
- Assist with SARS VAT objections, appeals, and related tax matters.
- Ensure intercompany loan accounts reconcile accurately on a monthly basis.
