Financial Analyst (Calgary)

The Financial Analyst works closely with the Manager, Financial Analysis to understand the financial performance of the assigned portfolio. The analyst prepares and maintains monthly revenue files, calculates commissions for internal consultants, prepares annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Review monthly financial data; identify, investigate, and explain variances in revenue and expenses.
• Analyze revenue streams, including new business, terminations, and other drivers impacting performance.
• Contribute variance analysis and help identify underlying drivers impacting monthly and year-to-date performance.
• Validate the accuracy and completeness of monthly financial reporting, including review of accounting entries.
