About the organisation

Marinus Link is one of Australia’s most significant renewable energy infrastructure projects — a transformative undersea and underground electricity and data interconnector linking North West Tasmania and the Latrobe Valley in Victoria. The project will strengthen Australia’s national grid, support the transition to cleaner energy, and deliver major economic benefits across Tasmania and Victoria. Supported by a $3.8 billion concessional finance commitment from the Clean Energy Finance Corporation in addition to equity contributions from the Commonwealth, Victorian and Tasmanian governments, Marinus Link is moving from planning to major construction, with Stage 1 works commencing in 2026.
