Summary The Primary Purpose of this position is to support the patients continuity of care by maintaining the receipt, intake, scanningimport and index of medical and administrative date into the patients electronic health record both timely and accurately. The Organizational location of the position is within the Health Information Management Service (HIMS) at the Dallas, Fort Worth and Bonham campuses of the VA North Texas Health Care System (VANTHCS), Dallas, TX. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to: Retrieves, intakes, scans, imports, indexes, dispositions, and destructs medical and administrative documents. Adheres to Veteran Health Administration (VHA), National Archives Record Administration policies and SOP's related to such. Utilizes personal computer (PC) applications, document storage system (DSS) programs as well as numerous Vista applications.
