Position Summary
The Field Tech is an entry‑level position for individuals seeking to gain hands‑on experience in power transmission and distribution. This role involves the inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various electrical systems, including low, medium, and high voltage equipment. The Field Tech will receive comprehensive training and guidance to develop the necessary skills to work independently and efficiently as a field technician.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on low, medium, and high voltage electrical systems (up to 500 kV).
- Perform testing and maintenance on low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers.
- Inspect, maintain, test, and repair transformers (45 kVA to 130 MVA), circuit breakers, and related equipment (including dry‑type and oil‑filled).
