Overview

Field Heavy Equipment Technician – Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. Responsible for the repair and maintenance of construction and forestry based equipment and attachments.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently evaluate the working condition of heavy duty equipment, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair.
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
• Accurately document work orders with machine information, actions taken, and time.
• Assess service task hazards and ensure safe work and accepted standards.
• Use computer applications and information systems (e.g., John Deere Service Advisor) for maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
• Use parts catalogues to locate and order parts.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
