POSITION OVERVIEW

Applications are invited for a one-year fellowship in Surgical Pathology with a sub‑specialty focus, commencing July 1, 2026. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at University of Saskatchewan and Saskatchewan Health Authority in association with Saskatoon City Hospital, Royal University Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital is an oncologic and provincial biomarker referral centre for Saskatchewan. The department employs 23 pathologists and handles approximately 51,000 surgical and 10,000 non‑gynecologic cytology specimens annually.

In addition, Saskatoon is one of handful of centres across the country that has a mixture of both sub‑specialised and general surgical pathology practices.
