Faculty Computer Systems Technician

Job Summary

The Faculty of Land and Food Systems is seeking a Faculty Computer Systems Technician to provide technical support for computing systems for the Faculty.

Responsibilities

• Installs and troubleshoots for Faculty computer hardware and software, including setting up and configuring new computers, networking, peripherals, and performing hardware upgrades.
• Monitors and installs software patches using SCCM.
• Responsible for inventory tracking of all equipment purchased by the Learning Centre and updates when equipment is recycled.
• Regularly services and maintains the loan out fleet of laptops, AV carts, and meeting room computer equipment.
• Troubleshoots Wi‑Fi and VPN issues for Windows and Apple devices.
• Sets up, maintains, and troubleshoots printer devices, monitoring and replacing toner cartridges for staff office printers.
