Facility Operations Assistant 1

Duties Description As per Civil Service Standards, entry-level: under the general direction of a Facility Operations Assistant 2 or higher-level trades, grounds, or building management staff, performs a combination of maintenance, grounds, laborer, parking services, custodial duties, and operates motor driven vehicles and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications As per Civil Service Standards. There are no educational or experience requirements. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and understand and carry out written and oral instructions. Training provided. When required to operate a motor vehicle, applicant must possess and keep a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated. The applicant must have and keep a motor vehicle record which is free from major violations or a pattern of repeat violations.
