Extrusion Operator

**Description**

**Essential Duties and Tasks**

+ Safley sets up, operates, and monitors extrusion machinery and equipment as intended and needed to meet customer and production goals.
+ Completes extrusion machine setup for production runs, including loading materials, adjusting settings, and calibrating equipment to ensure proper operation.
+ Monitors the production process, inspects and tests materials and equipment using safe and proper protocols, to ensure products meet quality standards and production quotas are met.
+ Verifies and tracks all materials for inventory and work in progress regulations.
+ Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep machinery operating efficiently.
+ Trains and provides guidance to machine assistants and new crew members.
+ Keeps machinery and surrounding areas organized by meeting housekeeping, storage, staging, and cleanliness requirements.
