Interior Health is hiring a Medical Laboratory Technologist for part-time relief shifts at Kootenay Lake Regional Hospital in Nelson, BC. Engage in laboratory testing and patient care.
This is an exciting opportunity for a reliable and motivated Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the team at Interior Health. Your responsibilities will include utilizing manual and automated testing procedures, entering data, and greeting patients during their visits. In addition, you will support departmental training efforts, gain exposure to various tests, and contribute to the overall lab operations within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct routine and elaborate laboratory tests
• Interact with patients and manage specimen collection
• Maintain data accuracy in the Laboratory Information System
• Oversee instrument maintenance and solution preparation
• Participate in ongoing training within the laboratory
