Here is what a typical day looks like


  • Review and interpret policy wordings and parameters to determine if coverage is in-force and triggered by the loss

  • Manage claims settlement process with independent adjusters, providing recommendations and direction for negotiation and settlement within authority provided by insurers

  • Perform in-house adjustment of claims within authority granted by provincial authorities and insurers

  • Set and maintain accurate loss and expense reserves based upon investigation and/or recommendations, including validating independent adjusters’ or insurers’ reserve calculations and advising of discrepancies

  • Perform business interruption calculations

  • Provide feedback to Underwriters, Risk Management, and Brokerage teams on claims frequency and physical hazards
