Support ethical research practices as a Research Ethics Board Specialist in a hybrid role based in Edmonton. Engage directly with researchers to enhance the application review process.
Reporting to the Manager, Research Ethics, this position focuses on overseeing ethics applications mainly for REBs 1 and 2 while providing guidance across additional boards. Your expertise in human research methodologies will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with relevant ethical policies and procedures. Strong decision-making and organizational capabilities are essential in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the ethics application review process for REBs 1 and 2
• Consult with researchers on informed consent and risk evaluations
