Estimator Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for Transmission projects. This includes evaluating the full scope of work, such as labour, equipment, materials, subcontractor services, and purchased components. The role ensures all tender submissions are completed accurately and delivered within required deadlines. Key Responsibilities Estimating and Tendering Develop conceptual, preliminary, and detailed cost estimates for transmission projects, including overhead and underground lines, substations, and asset replacement or upgrade programs Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, standards, and scopes of work to support estimate development Complete detailed quantity take-offs and determine labour, equipment, and material requirements Identify estimating assumptions, cost drivers, risks, and uncertainties, including development of escalation and contingency allowances Collaborate with Engineering and Constructi...
