Estimator intern

The Estimator Intern will support the estimating and commercial team in preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for packaging products. This role offers hands-on exposure to packaging materials, production processes, and cost analysis within a manufacturing environment. The intern will assist in evaluating customer specifications, calculating material and production costs, and supporting pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for packaging products such as corrugated boxes, folding cartons, rigid boxes, labels, or flexible packaging.
• Review customer specifications, drawings, and artwork files to understand project requirements.
• Support calculation of material usage (paperboard, corrugated sheets, films, inks, adhesives, etc.).
• Help estimate labor, machine time, tooling, freight, and overhead costs.
• Work closely with production, purchasing, and sales teams to gather cost inputs.
