Summary:

The Estimator will be responsible for: reviewing customer quotation requests and proposals, generating and analyzing manufacturing costs and labor estimates, pricing and strategy development, preparing cost estimates and customer quotations, communicating with customers, sales, vendors, and internal departments, generating new part setup documentation, and processing engineering change notices.

Essential Duties Include:

  • Work with sales to identify customer requirements (including materials, dimensions, tolerances, inspection requirements, documentation, certification, testing, packaging, delivery, prior to quoting.
  • Verify completeness of information and contact corresponding sales person to gain missing information.
  • Evaluate opportunities to quote lower cost, equivalent materials.
