Equity Research Analyst – Mid-Cap

Focus: Hidden Gems, Niche Leaders, and Scalable Business Models

Role Objective

To discover under-researched companies with the potential to become tomorrow’s large caps. In a Category III AIF, this role requires high agility, as mid-caps are prone to extreme volatility and liquidity risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Bottom-Up Discovery: Use screens and primary research to find companies with a market cap between ₹5,000 Cr – ₹30,000 Cr.
• Channel Checks: Conduct extensive ground-level research, including plant visits, distributor meetings, and competitor interviews.
• Management Integrity Assessment: Given the higher governance risks in mid-caps, perform rigorous forensic accounting and background checks on promoters.
