Equipment Operators - Telecommunications - Castor, AB

Valard Construction is hiring equipment operators to support underground FTTP and utility installations across Alberta. These operators will primarily run backhoes while assisting with fiber and copper cable placement and ground disturbance work. The role requires strong safety awareness and collaboration with project teams and engineers. Ideal candidates have solid backhoe experience and enjoy working outdoors in dynamic utility construction environments.

What you’ll need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years experience operating a backhoe
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2 certification
  • Valid Class-5 driver’s license with acceptable driver’s abstract
