Equipment Operator

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Equipment Operator is responsible for safely operating a variety of heavy equipment on construction job sites, including but not limited to dozers, excavators, lift trucks, high‑reach equipment and screeners. The Equipment Operator also conducts pre‑operational inspections, ensures equipment is maintained and operating safely, and reports any issues to management.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
• Move and place materials such as fill, sand, and gravel using equipment such as backhoes or excavators when required.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report equipment defects or maintenance needs.
• Follow all company and site safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Work safely around underground utilities, overhead power lines, and congested work areas.
