EO343 – Construction Equipment Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers
• Perform site preparation tasks such as grading, trenching, digging, and backfilling
• Transport materials and equipment around the job site
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance (fueling, lubricating, cleaning)
• Identify and report mechanical issues or safety hazards
• Follow all workplace safety regulations and procedures
• Work closely with site supervisors, laborers, and other trades
• Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently according to project timelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
