The Knolls Laboratory Weight Handling Engineering unit is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Team! This role provides engineering support for maintenance and inspection of cranes, rigging equipment, and other weight handling equipment. The selected candidate will also support weight handling operations.

More about the role:
• The selected candidate will work with other engineers, inspection personnel, millwrights, and supervisors to maintain, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to cranes and other weight handling equipment.
• Components that will be worked on include: braking systems(electro-mechanical), electrical systems (including variable frequency drives), and mechanical power transmission systems (gearboxes, drive shafts, motors, couplings).
• Team with engineers to support the procurement and upgrade of electric overhead cranes and other weight handling equipment.
