Description: The North Bellmore School District seeks an English as a New Language Leave Replacement Teacher to service students K-6 from August 25th through September 25th. The selected candidate may also substitute teach daily immediately following the leave replacement position.
The English as a New Language Specialist provides instructional support to students identified as Limited English Proficient by the NYSITELL and NYSESLAT tests. The ENL Specialist ensures students acquire English language speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through a variety of flexible models that prioritize push-in and pull-out services guided by the effective use of co-teaching practices.
