Engineering scientist

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians, technologists, and other engineers.
• Conduct research to expand knowledge of the field.
• Design electrical and electronic components, systems, and equipment.
• Coordinate work activities to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.
• Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements.
• Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics, or related field.
• 5 years or more experience in electrical and electronic engineering and physics.
• Supervisor experience managing 11-15 people.
• Knowledge of fiber optics, optics and laser physics, failure analysis.
