Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within the data center.
  • Serve as a technical resource to support Amazon within its data centers.
  • Ensure mission‑critical server equipment maintains better than 99.999% uptime.
  • Drive innovation while reducing operational costs in the facilities.
  • Respond to electrical and mechanical issues affecting Amazon’s availability.
  • Maintain equipment including stand‑by diesel generators, fuel systems, switchboards, UPS, PDU, AHU, CRAHU, CRAC, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Knowledge of network design and layout and low‑voltage (copper/fiber) cabling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
