Job Description
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering teams in remote/hybrid setups across Portugal (Lisbon, Braga, Coimbra).
Work Setup: Hybrid (One day per week on-site)
Must Have
- 5+ years of backend experience with Java and Spring Boot
- Strong experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems
- System design rigor at Amazon/Google level
- Strong technical leadership skills, able to guide teams and make architecture decisions
- Experience managing engineering teams, including performance management
Responsibilities
- Define technical direction and architectural standards for large-scale distributed systems.
- Validate designs, technical decisions, and manage trade-offs to ensure technology choices support business and strategic objectives.
