Job Description

Gerdau is currently seeking a student for an Engineering Internship at our Whitby Metals Recycling location.

The student must be currently enrolled and have completed at least two years of a university degree from a recognized accredited college or university in an Engineering related Discipline. Preferred education program BEng, Mechanical Engineering. Internship beginning as soon as possible, extending to months.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and refine engineering procedures.
  • Process sample and data collection and interpretation.
  • Implement new technology.
  • Train and develop technical operations.
  • Conduct Technical Studies to support CAPEX investments.
  • Implement Best Practices.
  • Support process improvement projects where applicable.
  • Participate in the development of Annual Actions Plans.
