Engineering Drafter

Position: Engineering Drafter – Specialty Construction

 Location: Deer Park, NY 

 Company/Industry: Well-established architectural fabrication/specialty construction firm 

 Schedule: On-site, Mon-Fri 

 Salary: $40-50 per hour, depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings
• Interpret architectural plans, specifications, and field measurements
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and installers
• Prepare cut tickets, material take?offs, and technical documentation
• Ensure drawings meet project requirements, tolerances, and specialty material standards
• Revise drawings based on RFIs, site conditions, and client changes
• Support engineering problem?solving related to fit, structure, and constructability
